How to remove Phocagallery Copyright from footer

If you want to get rid of the footer image in phoca gallery do below. However please consider making a donation to the developer of the software. He is doing it for free does not mean he does not need money. Open source software can only develop itself with contributions and donations.

Now how to remove the footer…
open administrator/components/com_phocagallery/helpers/phocagallery.php

add :

$output ="";

on line 1613 before

return $output;

If you consider using the above tip please also consider to make a donation to the original developer.

This is not right, the extension is free, the author puts a lot of time in it. The correct way IMHO to remove the footer image is to make a donation. I believe this also violates the license and it is not a motivation for the author (and probably other people) to write extensions that are completely free.

(that you can change the software or use pieces of it in new free program) >> quoted from http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html , because the extension is simply published under GPL license . and i really appreciate the effort he made , but i'd like really to change the code of any GPL software or script I get . thanks for ur reply

Hi Sally,

Actually you have to find the return $lg; statement and change it to return '';
But one thing i wana say is who ever uses this extension and removes the phoca link, they should atleast donate ( may be) it will support the developers who have invested so much time to make such a cool component.

The key is to change the function's all returns to null. So in renderinfo.php change in every instances of return...; to return '';
I hope that was helpful and understandable.

why don't you guys just go to line 185 in the view.html.php file... and comment out the following line:

$tmpl['displaypage'] = PhocaGalleryRen derInfo::getPhocaIc((int)$params->get( 'display_phoca_info', 1 ));

Simple and easy

it works you have to comment the line above as well

Found it, located in

/intranet/components/com_phocagallery/views/categories
/intranet/components/com_phocagallery/views/category

However, does not work. Gives me an error message, additionally, the exact variable isn't there.

What I have is this,

$tmpl['ed'] = base64_decode('PGRpdiBzdHlsZT0idGV4dC1hbGlnbjogY2VudGVyOyBjb2xvcjogcmdiKDIxM SwgMjExLCAyMTEp OyI+UG93ZXJlZCBieSA8YSBocmVmPSJodHR wOi8vd3d3LnBob2NhLmN6IiBzdHlsZT0idGV4dC1kZWNvcmF0aW9uOiBub25lOyIgdGFyZ2V0PSJfYmxhbmsiIHR pdGxlPSJQaG9jYS5jeiI+UGhvY2E8L2E+IDxhIGhyZWY9Imh0dHA6Ly93d3cucGhvY2EuY3ovcGhvY2FnYWxsZXJ5IiBzdHlsZT0idGV4dC1kZWNvcmF0aW9uOiBub25lOyIgdGFyZ2V0PSJfYmxhbmsiIHR pdGxlPSJQaG9jYSBHYWxsZXJ5Ij5HYWxsZXJ5PC9hPjwvZGl2Pg0K');

I have followed this guide too http://www.shantee.net/comment-supprim er-le-copyright -de-phocagaller y-en-footer.html

Hey guys,
Simple solution for 2.6.1

Edit administrator/components/com_phocagallery/libraries/phocagallery/render/renderfront.php

Search for plgSystemRedact

Now below this you will see 4 (four) instances of Redact, replace all of these with Refact. Save and upload.

Install the Redaction-Plugi n
Under the plugin parameters put
div a,/phoca\.cz/

Hi everyone,

See http://www.phoca.cz/support for information on how to get rid of the footer and support the developer too (which means Phoca Gallery is more likely to continue improving!). They seem pretty cool, if you are active on their forums, or contribute with extensions you can get it without the footer. Alternatively you can just make a donation through Paypal. If you're flat broke then I can understand ripping it, but it's good to support the little guy if you can.

If you want to remove the copyright in version 2.7.6 which is the most recent version.

You can easily remove it by going to this file location:
components/com_phocagallery/views/categories/view.html.php

In view.html.php go to line 261.

Just replace this string:
$tmpl['phoac'] = 'Power'.'ed by Phoc'.'a Gal'.'lery';

With this string:
$tmpl['phoac'] = '';

The copyright will be completely removed. Please donate to Phoca Gallery. :)
