Setup Guide for sh404sef and Virtuemart

If you are using Virtuemart and you want to have SEF URLs for your Virtuemart eCommerce website, then here is the complete setup guide to it.

After setting up your Virtuemart, install sh404sef. You can download it here.

Then switch on your SEF parameters at your site's Global Configuration.

Goto Components > sh404sef Panel.

You should see a option something like this,

Click there and then it should say,

Click here to switch to standard display (with only main parameters) . It means, you have switched on the advanced options in sh404sef. Now click on , sh404SEFConfiguration and goto plugins tab. You should see the Virtuemart options there and the htaccess settings there. Just make the htaccess settings to use with .htaccess (mod_rewrite) .

Before you do that, make sure, you have the htaccess file present on the root of your site folder. And just copy my virtuemart settings from my follwing picture.

Thats it!! Save your settings and check your frontend of the website. You should have the site working perfectly with SEF URLs at Virtuemart store also. If you have questions, then feel free to ask us in our forums..
